According to the weekly work plan from May 4th to 10th, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) focused on implementing many key tasks, in which the most prominent is improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health and promoting digital transformation in trade union activities.
The Standing Committee and professional fields of the Provincial Labor Federation attended a workshop on innovation and improvement of the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age. This is considered an important content to adapt to new requirements in managing and protecting workers.
In parallel, propaganda and mobilization to develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions and trade unions continue to be promoted. The Inspection Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation also issued an inspection conclusion on the compliance with the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, financial management, and assets at grassroots units.
The Provincial Labor Federation also assigned officials to participate in inspecting and supervising the implementation of labor laws, occupational safety and health, social insurance, unemployment insurance and occupational accident and disease regimes at 3 enterprises.
During the week, many care activities and movements were also prepared and implemented. Notably, the opening ceremony of the 1st Vinh Long Provincial Sports Festival for Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers in 2026; coordinating to organize voluntary blood donation programs; preparing for meetings, commending typical party members and workers and dialogue activities with workers.
In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation continues to urge grassroots trade unions to complete dossiers to participate in sports congresses and organize occupational safety and health training. Notably, the signing of a digital transformation cooperation agreement for the period 2026–2030 is also being promoted, contributing to modernizing trade union activities in the coming time.
