According to the plan of the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) in 2026 is identified as a key task to consolidate the organization and protect the rights of workers.
The province sets a target to develop an additional 26,000 union members. In particular, the rate of union member admission at enterprises that have trade union organizations must reach from 98% to 100%.
Regarding organization, the Provincial Labor Federation is determined to establish at least 50 new grassroots trade unions, including 14 commune and ward trade unions and 36 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions. Trade union levels will introduce 650 outstanding union members for the Party to consider admitting.
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation - said that to achieve these goals, the Trade Union system will focus on two peak periods: Workers' Month (May) and the Month of Commemoration of the Establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July).
The Provincial Labor Federation also requested to strongly innovate the content of propaganda in the direction of being streamlined, easy to understand and promoting the application of information technology so that workers can easily access and voluntarily join the organization.
In parallel with developing quantity, Trade Union levels will focus on improving the quality of negotiation, signing collective labor agreements and organizing practical activities to care for material and spiritual life.
This is a key solution to create motivation and attraction, affirming the role of the Trade Union as a reliable support for workers in the new situation.
