The conference was organized to help press, publishing, artists and intellectuals firmly grasp, deeply understand and unify their awareness of the key contents and new points in the documents of the 14th Party Congress, especially the guidelines and viewpoints directly related to the fields of press, publishing, culture, science and technology.
Through studying, researching and thoroughly grasping, the conference contributes to creating high consensus on will and action throughout the system, thereby improving the effectiveness of propaganda, orienting public opinion and deploying political tasks.
The conference aims to concretize the contents of the Resolution into a practical action program, associated with the functions and tasks of each agency, unit and each professional field.
According to the program, the conference focused on deploying many important topics, covering major contents in the Document of the 14th Party Congress. The topics include: clarifying new and core points in the Document of the 14th Congress; views and tasks on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people; orientations for science and technology development in the new period; and views and tasks for the field of journalism and publishing.
The contents are designed in a direction that is easy to understand, easy to remember, easy to implement, closely linking "study and thorough understanding" with "implementation", in order to ensure that after the conference, agencies and units can quickly develop specific action plans, suitable to reality. Thereby, contributing to bringing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress into life soon, promoting the role of the press, artists and intellectuals in ideological work and national development.
