According to the weekly report of the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), from August 10-15, the Standing Committee of the Provincial LĐLĐ organized delegations to visit and encourage union members and workers in difficult circumstances at 3 enterprises, awarding 150 gifts with a total budget of more than 170 million VND.
The activity is deployed towards the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2nd, thereby showing the concern and care of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers.
During the week, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation also organized a cultural forum on labor safety with the theme "Safety to return home" at Luong Quoi Coconut Processing Co., Ltd.
At the forum, delegates were given 2 topics by experts on occupational safety culture in the new development context and the impact of digital transformation on building a safety culture in the workplace.
Through this, the program contributes to raising awareness of trade union officials, employers and employees about preventing and controlling unsafe risks, building a safe, civilized, and humane working environment.
Also this week, the Provincial Labor Federation worked and exchanged views on the establishment of grassroots trade unions at Ying Hsin Co., Ltd.; announced the working schedule with 9 grassroots trade unions on the implementation of the emulation movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" for the 2026-2031 period.
The Supervisory Delegation of the Provincial Labor Federation continues to supervise the implementation of policies and laws for employees at 4 enterprises. The Inspection Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation inspects the compliance with the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, management and use of trade union finances and assets at Hong Viet Tra Vinh Garment Co., Ltd.
Notably, during the week, the Trade Union organization developed 330 more union members, including 34 union members at BIGRFEED Vinh Long Joint Stock Company, 256 union members at Ty Xuan Co., Ltd. and 40 union members at Khai Thanh Phat Private Enterprise.
At grassroots trade unions, many activities to care for workers were implemented. Vinh Ty Co., Ltd. Trade Union organized "Trade Union Meals", giving shirts to 295 union members and workers with a total budget of more than 38.7 million VND.
The Trade Union of Bao Tien Production-Trading Co., Ltd. awarded scholarships to 199 children of union members with excellent academic achievements, with a total amount of 82.7 million VND. The Trade Union of Ty Xuan Co., Ltd. mobilized more than 80 million VND to support union members with critical illnesses.
To date, Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation is managing 7 Commune and Ward Trade Unions and 657 grassroots trade unions and professional unions, with 178.417 union members out of a total of 185,751 workers.
