On August 13, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a conference to announce the decision to establish the grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of BIGRFEED Vinh Long Joint Stock Company (Phu Quoi commune) directly under the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation and recognized 34 employees as Trade Union members.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation appointed the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union consisting of 3 members. Mr. Tran Thanh Doan - Head of Production Department - holds the position of Chairman; Ms. Bui Thanh Giau - Supervisor of Administration and Personnel Department - holds the position of Vice Chairman; Mr. Nguyen Ly Huynh - Warehouse Accountant - is a member.
At the conference, Mr. Tran Thanh Doan - Head of Production Department, Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of BIGRFEED Vinh Long Joint Stock Company - committed to building a strong Trade Union organization with the Executive Committee, proactively grasping the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers.
According to Mr. Tran Thanh Doan, the grassroots trade union will coordinate with businesses to build a stable and harmonious working environment; perform well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Nhat Linh - Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - requested the Executive Committee of the Grassroots Trade Union to soon develop an operating plan, proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers, and perform well the function of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members.
Mr. Tran Nhat Linh also requested the grassroots trade union to promote emulation movements, create cohesion between union members and workers with businesses, thereby contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
According to the decision, the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union is responsible for assigning tasks, developing plans and implementing trade union activities. Within a period of no more than 12 months, the Executive Committee must prepare content, documents, personnel and necessary conditions to organize the congress according to regulations.
