On March 8, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation organized a program to visit and give gifts to female union members and workers to celebrate the 116th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 – March 8, 2026) and the 1986th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung Uprising.
During the program, working delegations of the Provincial Trade Union visited many localities to visit and encourage female union members and workers in difficult circumstances. A total of 790 gifts were presented, each worth 500,000 VND in cash.
The gifts were presented through working groups of the Provincial Labor Federation. In which, Working Group No. 01 presented 280 gifts to female union members in Long Ho, Phu Quoi, Cai Nhum, Tan Long Hoi, Nhon Phu, Binh Phuoc and Cai Ngang communes.
Task Force No. 02 organized the presentation of 410 gifts in Phu Tuc, Tien Thuy, Tan Phu, Hung Khanh Trung, Phuoc My Trung, Tan Thanh Binh and Nhuan Phu Tan communes. Task Force No. 03 presented 100 gifts to female union members in Phu Phung, Cho Lach and Vinh Thanh communes.

At the gift-giving points, many female union members and workers expressed their joy when receiving attention from the Trade Union organization. The atmosphere of the gift-giving sessions was warm, contributing to encouraging the spirit of workers.
Receiving gifts in Phu Quoi commune, Ms. Le Thi Hanh - a worker at Hoa Phu Industrial Park said that she was very happy and touched to be cared for and visited by the Trade Union organization on March 8th.
Although the gift is not large, it is a very meaningful spiritual encouragement. I will try to work harder to stabilize my life and take care of my family," Ms. Hanh shared.
According to the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation, visiting and giving gifts on March 8th is an annual activity to care for the lives of union members, especially female workers in difficult circumstances, contributing to helping workers become more attached to their jobs.
