According to a report by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation, in the week from August 24-28, trade union levels in the province implemented many activities to care for union members and workers, notably supporting children of workers with good academic achievements.
At Branch 7 of Thai Binh Investment Joint Stock Company and Lefaso Tra Vinh Industrial Production and Investment Joint Stock Company, the Trade Union awarded scholarships to 1,782 students who are children of workers and laborers, with a total budget of nearly 1.47 billion VND.
In addition, the Trade Union of Pung Kook Ben Tre Co., Ltd. organized a Trade Union meal for 4,400 union members and workers, with a budget of more than 180 million VND, on the occasion of the August Revolution and National Day 2. 9.
The grassroots trade union of An Phu Irradiation Joint Stock Company Branch presented Mid-Autumn cakes to 61 union members, with a total budget of more than 8.7 million VND. Vinh Long Newspaper and Radio and Television Trade Union organized sports and arts festivals for 518 union members and workers.
During the week, the Provincial Labor Federation organized a pilot conference to deploy the movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" for the period 2026 - 2031, with nearly 500 delegates attending. 12 units, businesses and grassroots trade unions signed a coordination program.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation awarded the Medal "For the cause of building the Vietnam Trade Union organization" to 10 individuals, Creative Labor Certificates to 44 individuals; awarded 60 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances, with a total value of 30 million VND.
The Trade Union also organized training for 90 grassroots Trade Union officials on vocational skills, health care, environmental protection and occupational safety and health; and at the same time inspected the compliance with the Charter at some grassroots Trade Unions. Ty Thanh Co., Ltd. also organized periodic fire prevention and fighting drills, with 100% of union members participating.
The work of developing union members has been promoted. The Provincial Labor Federation guided 3 units to implement the process of establishing grassroots trade unions, developing 48 new union members and deploying tasks for developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in the period 2026 - 2030.
To date, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation manages 7 commune and ward trade unions, 662 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions, with 178,523 union members out of a total of 185,848 workers.
