On the morning of August 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTT&DL) of Can Tho City opened a thematic photo exhibition "The South remembers forever the grace of the One" and a thematic exhibition "Culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups - Unified in diversity" at Tao Dan Park (Ninh Kieu ward).
The event aims to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2026) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026).

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City - informed that today's specialized exhibition and display is a bridge connecting the heroic past with the developing present, a cultural activity of practical significance, contributing to educating patriotic traditions, arousing pride, self-reliance, self-strengthening and the aspiration for peace, promoting the spirit of great national unity of the Vietnamese nation; expressing deep gratitude for the great contributions of generations for national independence and national reunification.
It is known that the thematic photo exhibition "The South Forever Remembers the Gratitude of Him" introduces 136 images and documents according to 5 themes, typically such as: "Saigon - Gia Dinh in the 1910s when Nguyen Tat Thanh came and left to find a way to save the country", "People seeking the image of the country", "The South in his heart"...
The exhibition space helps the public have a deeper perspective on the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh. Each individual is even more aware of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style with specific and practical actions in work, study, and life.

Meanwhile, the thematic exhibition "Vietnamese Culture of Ethnic Groups - Unity in Diversity" brings more than 250 images, artifacts, and documents on material and spiritual culture, costumes, musical instruments, festivals, rituals and folk games. The main contents include: Overview of Vietnamese culture of ethnic groups; Cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic groups; Preserving and promoting the cultural values of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
The activity contributes to affirming Vietnamese culture as a unified whole, honoring traditional values preserved and passed down by ethnic communities through many generations; raising awareness and responsibility of each person in preserving and promoting national cultural heritage.
