On July 2nd, the Mau A Commune Trade Union organized a conference to announce the decision to establish grassroots trade unions (CĐCS), grassroots trade unions and admit trade union members.
The activity is part of the "60 days and nights" peak period to implement Plan No. 49 of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation on developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions.
Attending the conference were Mr. Vu Cao Minh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, along with representatives of local Party committees and authorities, leaders of businesses and units, and a large number of trade union members.
According to the Mau A Commune Trade Union, after 60 days of focusing on propaganda, mobilization, sticking to grassroots levels and working directly with businesses and labor-using units, the locality has newly established 6 grassroots trade unions and 1 grassroots trade union, reaching 350% of the planned target.

The newly established trade union organizations include: Grassroots Trade Union of Tan Xuan Trading and Transport Co., Ltd.; Grassroots Trade Union of Long Quynh Construction and Transport Co., Ltd.; Son Mau A Trade Union; Grassroots Trade Union of Dai Thinh 68 Trading and Processing Co., Ltd.; Grassroots Trade Union of Duc Thang Export Trading Service Co., Ltd.; Grassroots Trade Union of Mau A Commune General Service Center and Grassroots Trade Union of Mau A Commune Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Along with expanding the trade union organization, Mau A Commune Trade Union has admitted 203 new union members, reaching 145% of the plan for the first 6 months of the year and completing 101.5% of the union member development plan for the whole year 2026.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vu Cao Minh acknowledged and praised the outstanding results of the Mau A Commune Trade Union in the 60-day and night peak period.
He emphasized that the establishment of grassroots trade unions, trade unions and the development of union members contributes to expanding the scope of gathering workers into the Vietnam Trade Union organization, creating a foundation for caring for, representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation requested newly established grassroots trade unions and professional unions to soon consolidate their organizations and develop operating regulations; and at the same time effectively organize activities to care for material and spiritual life, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at enterprises.
