Faced with that reality, Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union levels are promoting their core role, joining hands to build a "no-drug" working and living environment, contributing to the implementation of the goal of building "No-drug communes and wards" according to Resolution No. 51-NQ/TU of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee (February 12, 2026) and Plan No. 73/KH-UBND (February 13, 2026).
Identifying this as a key task, Lao Cai is mobilizing the strength of the entire political system with the motto "cutting bridges, blocking supply", striving to have 100% of communes and wards free of drugs by 2026. In which, the Trade Union organization plays an important role at the grassroots level, where a large number of workers are concentrated.
Recently, the Yen Bai Ward Trade Union coordinated with the Hoa Binh Co., Ltd. Trade Union to organize propaganda and deploy the "No Drug Enterprise" model for nearly 150 union members and workers.
At the propaganda session, the police force informed about the security and order situation, the harmful effects of drugs, identified new types of drugs, and related methods and tricks. Thereby helping workers raise awareness, proactively prevent and protect themselves.
On this occasion, units directly under Hoa Binh Co., Ltd. signed a commitment to implement the criteria "Business without drugs", expressing their determination to build a safe, healthy working environment without social evils.
Along with direct propaganda, the Provincial Labor Federation requests heads of trade unions at all levels to directly be responsible for drug prevention and control work at units; each official and union member becomes an active propagandist, a "shield" at the grassroots level.
