Trade unions combine with Youth Unions to find jobs
On May 10, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang City, in coordination with the Commune Youth Union, organized the Forum "Youth start-up and career establishment in the digital age - Connecting ideas, accompanying development".
Attending the program were leaders of the Da Nang City Labor Federation; Nam Phuoc Commune Party Committee; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Phuoc commune; Secretary of the Nam Phuoc Commune Youth Union and representatives of typical businesses, units, startup models, trade union officials, Youth Union officials and more than 150 union members, youth, and young workers.
The forum is organized in the atmosphere of responding to Workers' Month 2026, aiming to concretize activities to care for and accompany union members, youth, and young workers; and at the same time strengthen coordination between the Commune Trade Union and the Commune Youth Union in career orientation, job connection, and supporting youth to start businesses and establish careers right from the grassroots level.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union emphasized: in the context of the labor and employment situation having many fluctuations, Trade Union activities should not only stop at care, but also actively participate in solving the problem of jobs, livelihoods, and stabilizing the lives of union members and workers.
For young people, especially rural youth, young workers after graduation or job transfer, the need to be career-oriented, access labor market information, practice skills and connect with businesses is very necessary.
At the forum, union members, youth and young workers were able to interact and exchange directly with 7 leaders, representatives of typical businesses, units and startup models, including: Nam Hoi An Development Co., Ltd., Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd., My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board, Ong Vang Kindergarten, Hoang Chau Construction Mechanical Co., Ltd., Duy Oanh Green Agricultural Cooperative and Old Brick kiln Farm, Food, Coffee & Home model.
Among them, there are 4 units that have grassroots trade union organizations directly under Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, directly creating jobs, caring for the lives of union members and workers and having a lot of practical experience to share, connect, and accompany local youth.
The exchange contents focused on practical issues such as: choosing a career, finding a job, vocational training, starting a business, starting a career, digital transformation, skills to adapt to the business environment, developing small-scale economic models, green agriculture, tourism – services, education, mechanics – construction and creative startups.
The forum atmosphere was open and close. Many union members and young people boldly asked questions and exchanged directly with representatives of businesses, economic models and guests.
Through the exchange, businesses and units participating in the program all expressed their willingness to connect, advise, support and create opportunities for young people and young workers who need to find jobs, learn a trade, start a business, and establish a career suitable for each field.
Specifying caring actions
The highlight of the program was that representatives of Nam Hoi An Development Co., Ltd. directly presented prize vouchers to 2 young workers who boldly participated in the exchange at the forum.
Units such as Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd., Ong Vang Kindergarten, Hoang Chau Construction Mechanical Co., Ltd. also expressed their willingness to receive, guide, and create conditions for young people who need apprenticeships, internships, and long-term work if they are suitable for the unit's requirements.
This is a small but meaningful activity, showing the specific companionship of businesses and labor-using establishments with local youth.
The forum is not only an exchange and experience sharing activity, but also opens up practical coordination directions between Trade Unions, Youth Unions and businesses in caring for, orienting, and supporting young people, union members, and young workers.
Thereby, contributing to forming a regular connection channel between career orientation, skills training, employment, and startups, helping young people have more opportunities to establish themselves, start a business, and develop sustainable livelihoods right in their homeland.
In the coming time, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union and the Commune Youth Union will continue to coordinate to grasp the needs of youth and workers at the grassroots level; strengthen business connections, expand job opportunities; accompany and support union members, youth, and young workers in vocational training, job search, entrepreneurship, career establishment and stabilizing life.
