News from Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang city on January 2nd said: Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union in coordination with Duy Nghia Commune Women's Union and Duy Xuyen Regional Medical Center Grassroots Trade Union organized a program to examine, advise on health care, and screen for hepatitis for members of Duy Hai Fisheries Union, Duy Nghia Fisheries Union and members of Duy Nghia Commune Women's Union.
The program was attended by more than 200 union members and association members from the two Duy Hai, Duy Nghia fishing trade unions and the Women's Union of Duy Nghia commune.
The program is organized to care for the health of union members and workers on the occasion of the traditional Tet holiday of the nation, and at the same time raise awareness about prevention and early detection of liver diseases, especially hepatitis B - a disease with high risk for fishermen due to specific working and living conditions.
At the program, the team of doctors and physicians of Duy Xuyen Regional Health Center directly conducted general health check-ups; provided health care knowledge advice; and performed hepatitis B screening.
Guiding the living and eating regime suitable to the specific labor characteristics of fishermen and women's union members; dispensing free medicine for cases according to professional instructions.
The program of medical examination, health care consultation, and hepatitis screening for union members demonstrates the role and responsibility of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of union members and workers.
At the same time, it is proof of the effective coordination between the Trade Union, the Women's Union and the health sector in the work of caring for, protecting and improving people's health.
Thereby, contributing to spreading the message "For a healthy community", helping union members and workers feel secure in working, producing and celebrating the traditional Tet safely, joyfully, and happily.
