Support from financial resources of the Vietnam Health Trade Union

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - Vice President of the Vietnam Health Trade Union - said that, implementing the policy of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Health Trade Union has sent an official dispatch to all affiliated trade unions to count and report on the number of union members and workers in the health sector who suffered losses due to storms and floods, report to the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Health Trade Union to promptly support and encourage workers affected by the storm.
After receiving reports from the units, the Vietnam Health Trade Union issued support decisions to grassroots unions and union members affected by storms and floods.
Recently, the Vietnam Health Trade Union issued a decision to support money from the financial resources of the Vietnam Health Trade Union to the Quy Nhon Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital Trade Union, with a support level of 10 million VND; support 15 million VND for the Quy Nhon Malaria - Parasitology - insect Trade Union. These grassroots unions suffered damage caused by storm No. 13.
The Vietnam Health Trade Union also issued decisions to support union members affected by storms No. 13 and No. 10: Supported 12 union members of the Trade Union of Medlatec Vietnam Co., Ltd. ( damaged by storm No. 13); supported 2 million VND to 1 union member of the Trade Union of Bach Mai Hospital and 1 union member of the Trade Union of Central Hospital 71 ( damaged by storm No. 10). Previously, the Vietnam Health Trade Union issued support decisions to union members at 5 grassroots unions affected by storm No. 10.
Mobilizing union members and workers
According to the Vietnam Health Trade Union, up to this point, the Vietnam Health Trade Union has supported 6 grassroots trade unions with an amount of 120 million VND; supported 54 individuals in 8 grassroots trade unions with an amount of 110 million VND.
Mr. Vu Anh Tuan said that the Vietnam Health Trade Union is currently receiving reports from the grassroots trade unions to promptly support union members and their families. The spending levels are based on Decision 1411/QD-TLD on promulgating regulations on standards, norms, and spending regimes in trade union agencies.
"The amount of money supported to visit union members is not worth it compared to the damage that union members and their families have suffered. However, this support has a great spiritual encouragement for union members, helping them continue to work with peace of mind and complete their tasks well in the unit. This timely support also demonstrates the role and presence of the Trade Union organization during times when union members are facing difficult circumstances" - Mr. Vu Anh Tuan shared.
Recently, the Vietnam Health Trade Union joined a delegation of the Ministry of Health to visit and work in a number of Central provinces affected by storms and floods. The Vietnam Health Trade Union has visited and grasped the situation of union members and employees in the industry affected by the storm as well as the facilities of units under the Ministry of Health. The Vietnam Health Trade Union and accompanying businesses have provided support gifts on facilities, biological products for disinfection, and sanitary solutions to support a number of medical units in the area affected by storms and floods.
