Ms. Pham Thanh Binh - President of the Vietnam Medical Union - said that in 2024, the Vietnam Medical Union completed 100% of the targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with 8/11 targets exceeding the plan. In particular, the target of introducing outstanding union members for the Party to consider admission reached 935% with 1,029 union members introduced to the Party (compared to the target of 110 union members assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor). The target of developing union members reached 210% with 1,575 union members (compared to 750 union members assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor).
The Vietnam Medical Federation also disseminated and implemented the guidance of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing "Union Meals" and issued Official Dispatch No. 199/CDYT dated July 15, 2024 guiding the allocation of funds and settlement records of "Union Meals" in 2024 for grassroots unions. As a result, 33/110 grassroots unions organized "Union Meals" with a total of 16,367 union members and workers participating. The total amount of money for organizing "Union Meals" supported by the Vietnam Medical Federation to the units was 581,950,000 VND.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements of the Vietnam Medical Trade Union at all levels in 2024. In 2025, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong requested that the Vietnam Medical Trade Union continue to do a good job of propaganda and education for union members and workers, raising political awareness about the Party, the Trade Union, the working class, and firmly grasping the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State...
