On January 7, the Trade Union of Ngai Giao commune (Ho Chi Minh City) said that it has coordinated with functional agencies to work with businesses to ensure the rights of cases of serious labor accidents occurring in the area.
Previously, in December 2025, while working at the factory of B.O.M Co., Ltd. (Huu Phuoc hamlet, Ngai Giao commune), male worker N.T.Q (born in 2000, permanently residing in Lam Dong) had an accident while working, being swept into the corrugated iron area by a machine. Although the victim was quickly given first aid and taken to the hospital for treatment, he did not survive.
This is a business that has not yet established a grassroots Trade Union. After grasping the information, Ngai Giao Commune Trade Union informed relevant units. At the same time, coordinated to work with business leaders, requesting full responsibility to the victims.
Through this, the enterprise has paid all emergency medical expenses; at the same time, supported the amount of 150 million VND as requested by the Commune Trade Union, for the family to take care of funeral and funeral procedures for the worker. The company is committed to fully coordinating with functional agencies and implementing other compensation and allowance regimes for the accident-affected worker in accordance with regulations.
In the coming time, the Commune Trade Union will continue to supervise the implementation of the next compensation regimes for workers' families who suffered labor accidents. At the same time, promote labor safety and hygiene propaganda and urge businesses to quickly complete the procedures for establishing grassroots trade unions to ensure better protection of the rights of 170 workers in the coming time.
