On January 6, the Dakrong Regional Medical Center confirmed that the unit had successfully performed surgery and is treating a male patient with a partially severed foot.
Previously, on December 15, Mr. H.V.C (58 years old, residing in Khe Lan, Huong Hiep commune, Quang Tri province) was hospitalized in a state where his feet were almost severed, bleeding profusely due to a work accident while using a lawnmower. Immediately after receiving him, the Dakrong Regional Health Center organized a professional consultation and agreed to impose surgery.
The surgical team of the Department of General Surgery - Obstetrics has performed tendon reattachment, bone combination and treatment of foot injuries, ensuring the correct professional technical procedures.
After surgery, the patient's health stabilized, and the jointed foot showed signs of recovery. Currently, the patient is being monitored, cared for and actively treated at the department.
According to a representative of the Dakrong Regional Health Center, the successful surgery not only helped preserve the patient's limbs but also affirmed the professional capacity of the team of doctors and nurses in emergency care and treatment of complex injuries.
It is known that the Dakrong Regional Health Center is located in the old Dakrong district, where a large number of Van Kieu and Pa Co ethnic minorities live, belonging to the mountainous province of Quang Tri.
