At about 8 am on January 8, 2026, at house number 84, Le Loi street, residential group 4 Nguyen Trai, Ha Dong ward, a serious fire occurred.

Ha Dong Ward has mobilized forces to coordinate with the City Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Team to mobilize 6 fire trucks, some ladder trucks, and about 50 officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police, Coast Guard; and at the same time mobilized over 50 officers and soldiers of the Ward Police, grassroots security and 30 officers and soldiers of the Military and Civilian Self-Defense Forces of the Ward to participate in firefighting.
By about 10 am, the fire was basically controlled, forces are continuing to cool down, extinguish embers and search for victims. Damage to people and property: Ward Police are compiling statistics.
House number 84, Le Loi street, residential group 4 Nguyen Trai, Ha Dong ward, Hanoi city owned by Mr. Le Tat Thang (born in 1960), area of about 134m2, 7 floors high, currently trading in household electrical appliances.
Mr. Thang's family has 8 people including: 1 old woman born in 1937, paralyzed for many years, Mr. and Mrs. Thang and 5 children (3 of whom are married). Every day, 5 people regularly stay at the above address.
The fire area occurred on the 1st floor of the house and quickly spread to the upper floors. Initial determination, the fire killed 2 people (Ms. Vu Thi Sinh, born in 1937 and nephew Le Minh Thuan, born in 1999), 1 person was injured (Mr. Le Tat Thang, born in 1960) and was taken to Ha Dong General Hospital for emergency treatment.

The cause of the fire as well as the extent of damage to people and property are currently being further verified and clarified by functional agencies.
