As a garment worker in Ninh Binh, Ms. Vu Thu Hang has an average income of about 14 million VND/month. In particular, in months when she is assigned a favorable stage with high unit prices, her income reaches over 20 million VND.
According to Ms. Hang, to have the current salary, the important factor is not only luck but also diligence and a spirit of progress in work.
One of the improvements that helps her increase productivity is taking advantage of discarded thin plastic pieces to make spinning head rolling tools (also known as spinning belt rolling, sharp corner rolling in the garment industry). With this tool, the stages of sewing wrist and ankle tubes are carried out faster, no longer taking as much time and effort to roll by hand as before. According to Ms. Hang, this initiative has helped increase labor productivity by about 15%.
In addition, female workers always focus on implementing correct techniques from the beginning to limit product errors that need to be repaired. Raw materials are arranged scientifically and easily recognizable to avoid confusion during the production process. "When the goods produced are all beautiful and have few errors, productivity and income also increase" - Ms. Hang said.
According to grassroots trade union officials, for the movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" to truly go into life, in addition to the efforts of workers, the companionship of businesses and trade union organizations is also needed.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Luy - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Fukang Technology Co., Ltd. (Bac Ninh) - informed that the company's trade union has implemented many solutions to create motivation for workers to improve productivity and improve income. In which, the unit regularly organizes periodic dialogues with workers, especially during Workers' Month, to grasp thoughts and aspirations, and promptly resolve issues related to salaries and working conditions. Maintaining a stable working environment helps workers feel secure in their commitment and focus on production.
In parallel with that, the trade union promotes propaganda through many channels such as social networks, internal communication systems, and electronic messages to disseminate policies, spread good models, effective ways of doing things, and typical labor examples.
In particular, the trade union coordinates with the enterprise's productivity improvement department to encourage initiatives and technical improvements. Ideas that bring efficiency in production are considered for financial support and timely rewards...
