Workers hope to have accommodation near their workplace
Working at Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park (IP) for a long time, Mr. Vu Trong Truong shared: "The issue that we workers are concerned about is stable accommodation, convenient travel and suitable for income. If you have to rent outside, the rent along with electricity, water and monthly living expenses will consume a significant part of the cost. If you have accommodation right in the IP at a reasonable price, workers will have more choices.
Also working at Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, Ms. Do Thi Tuoi is also interested in the progress of dormitory areas for workers.
Ms. Tuoi said: "What we want is for the housing area to be completed on schedule, with a price suitable for workers' income. If we can live in a clean, safe housing area, near the workplace, workers will be much more assured.
According to the sharing of many workers far from home working at Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, for those with families and young children, a stable place to live is even more meaningful. They do not have to worry about rising rents, workers can feel secure in working and calculating their long-term lives.
More housing options for workers
According to the approved plan, the housing complex for workers in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park has a total area of about 52ha.
In which, the social housing area is 6.9ha wide, with a total investment of about 1,595 billion VND, including 7 9-story apartment buildings with about 1,700 apartments, meeting the housing needs of about 3,800 workers.
At Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, the worker accommodation area has now put building A1 into operation. Meanwhile, building A2 is expected to be completed and put into use in March 2027.
According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, at the construction site of the A2 dormitory project in Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park, there are about 100 workers and laborers working, synchronously constructing many items.
Mr. Vu Anh Tung - Housing project manager of Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park said: "A2 accommodation building belongs to phase 2 with an area of 1,000m2, a scale of 6 floors with about 136 apartments. Up to now (September 2026) the project has reached about 30% of the volume".
From the construction site, the items of building A2 are being urgently deployed by workers. For workers working in the IP, each completed housing project opens up hope for a stable place to live, near the workplace.
