Recently, the grassroots trade union (CĐCS) of Hwaseung Rach Gia Co., Ltd. (in An Giang) organized the award ceremony of the "Workers Tell Stories" Contest. The program took place in a warm and close atmosphere with a large number of union members and workers attending.
Ms. Ton Nu My Hanh - Chairwoman of the Company's Grassroots Trade Union shared that the contest is one of the outstanding activities of Workers' Month at the Company, creating many emotions, attracting viewers with simple, truthful stories from workers themselves in an environment of more than 6,000 workers. Without theatricalization, without being fussy about form, many participating authors are workers who first take the pen to write about their lives but bring stories that touch readers' hearts with sincerity and very real emotions.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 2 Third Prizes, 3 Consolation Prizes; and awarded 1 "Inspirational Story", "Most Touching Story".
Sharing after receiving the First Prize, Ms. Thi Chung, Department of Cutting B with the story "Resilient Flower" said that she still had a feeling of surprise because initially she only thought about trying her hand. The special thing is that she did not write about herself but chose to tell the story of her sister-in-law named Dung - a female worker in difficult circumstances but always silently overcoming it with her own labor.
I feel sorry for Dung's situation, her love life is unlucky, her health is not good, but she has never complained or asked for help from anyone. She always tries to shoulder everything with her own strength. I also want to send a message, no matter what the circumstances, we will not surrender to fate, resolutely overcome difficulties with our true labor," Ms. Chung confided.
And Ms. Nguyen Hong Tham, from the Material Warehouse department, won the Most Touching Story award with the title "The Labor Example of the Father and my journey of not giving up". Ms. Tham said that the most beautiful labor model for her is her father, a security guard who has been attached to the company for the past 8 years.

There are times when work pressure makes me want to give up, but seeing my father still persistently working, without complaining, I have more motivation to try," Ms. Tham emotionally shared. Ms. Tham also believes that the contest also helps businesses, grassroots trade unions and employees understand each other better, through true stories from her own colleagues.
Ms. Ton Nu My Hanh, Chairwoman of the Company's Trade Union, expressed: "The biggest success of the contest does not lie in the number of works but in the fact that employees have boldly opened their hearts and shared their true feelings. Through each story, the Trade Union understands many perspectives on dreams, living conditions, will to rise up and even the pressures that workers are facing every day. This is also an important basis for the Trade Union and businesses to have better companionship and sharing with employees.
Ms. Hanh also informed that the Company's Board of Directors highly appreciates the effectiveness that Workers' Month activities bring when the working spirit of workers is clearly improved, the absentness rate decreases, the working environment is more stable and labor productivity is improved.
Mr. Pham Van Dang - Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation commented that the "Workers Tell Stories" Contest is one of the typical, in-depth and emotional activities in this year's Workers' Month in An Giang province. The most precious thing about the contest is that workers have truly been listened to, expressed their true thoughts and feelings through everyday but full of willpower, responsibility and humanity stories.
These stories not only help the Trade Union and businesses understand workers better but also contribute to creating cohesion in the labor collective, spreading positive spirit, and enhancing the spirit of labor and production emulation in enterprises," Mr. Pham Van Dang emphasized.
