On March 2, the Trade Union of Soc Trang Industrial Parks organized a Family Meal Contest with the participation of many union members and workers from affiliated grassroots trade unions.
Attending the event were Ms. Trinh Thi Bao Khuyen - Vice President of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor.
Participating in the contest, 10 teams showed their ingenuity and creativity by preparing a banquet table with 3 main dishes and 1 dessert, serving 10 diners. Within 90 minutes, the teams completed the competition products excellently, bringing delicious but also beautiful dishes, demonstrating meticulousness and thoughtfulness.
Mr. Ly Truong Khoa - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Soc Trang province said that the contest is an activity to celebrate the anniversary of the 1985 Hai Ba Trung uprising and the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8) associated with the 60th anniversary of the "Three guarantees are" movement. This is also an opportunity to honor the role of Vietnamese women in the new era, encourage sharing of family work, especially cooking from men.
According to Mr. Khoa, the contest is also a useful playground, creating opportunities for exchanges and sharing experiences between employees, thereby strengthening solidarity between affiliated trade unions. This is also an opportunity to propagate and mobilize union members and workers to continue to preserve and promote family cultural values, actively building a prosperous, progressive and happy family. Activities also contribute to raising awareness of the important role of the family in the development of society.
