Trade unions nationwide have introduced more than 675,000 outstanding union members to the Party
At the 1st Program to honor outstanding workers who are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Comrade Tran Thanh Man - Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - highly appreciated the initiative of organizing this meaningful and practical activity of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Thereby, affirming the responsibility of the Vietnam Trade Union in participating in building a clean and strong Party and political system.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that during 95 years of accompanying the nation, the Party has always been a pioneer of the working class and determined to maintain and promote the working class nature of a truly revolutionary Party. The Party always attaches importance to Party building work, in which developing Party members is a very important content.
Over the past 10 years, the National Trade Union has discovered, trained and introduced more than 675,000 outstanding union members to be honored to be in the ranks of the Party, accounting for 12.05% of the total number of party members in the entire Party.
"The 95 outstanding workers who are Party members today are recognized as advanced examples in the team of workers nationwide, exemplary in work and all activities, speaking in combination with work, having proposals, initiatives, innovative and effective solutions in production and Party building work at the grassroots level; being trusted and highly appreciated by Party committees, management levels in terms of expertise and trade unions" - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized.
On behalf of the leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front, Comrade Tran Thanh Man commended, congratulated, acknowledged, and highly appreciated the outstanding results that the Trade Union organization, the team of Party members, union members, and workers have achieved in the recent past, especially the 95 comrades and Party members who were commended today.
Promoting the pioneering and exemplary role
At the conference, comrade Tran Thanh Man said that entering a new stage of national development, an era of national growth, requires high-quality resources, including a new-era workforce that is truly both rosy and specialized.
Therefore, trade unions at all levels and trade union cadres, union members, and workers, especially workers who are party members, need to promote their pioneering and exemplary role, improve their political mettle, professional qualifications, professional skills, industrial style, labor discipline, strive to contribute to the rapid and sustainable development of our country.
The National Assembly Chairman suggested that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and union officials, union members, and workers pay attention to performing well a number of key tasks:
First, continue to propagate, thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, especially on the organization and operation of the Trade Union, and regulations related to workers. Coordinate the effective implementation of policies on salary reform, pension adjustment, social insurance benefits, social security policies; social housing, housing for workers and low-income laborers.
Second, focus on training and fostering to improve political mettle, qualifications, professional skills, and legal awareness of union members and workers. Trade unions at all levels need to proactively implement solutions to improve the effectiveness of propaganda, education, resource creation, fostering, and introducing Party admission for union members in general and workers in particular. Developing union members and establishing grassroots unions is a premise for building and developing party organizations in enterprises.
Third, regularly grasp and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of workers, continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of the implementation of the task of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of workers, creating trust and close attachment of union members and workers to the Trade Union organization.
Fourth, I hope that the 95 typical examples honored today will continue to strive, spread experiences, and be innovative and creative to become propagandists and strongly inspire to promote union members and workers to strive and become Party members.
In particular, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, union officials, union members, and workers need to spread a positive spirit, aspiration to rise up, new confidence, determination, and new spirit among all workers and laborers, especially the messages of General Secretary To Lam, which are also the Party's guidelines and directions on the era of national growth, urging the spirit of action, innovation, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility;
Implement the revolution in organizing the cadre apparatus; strongly develop science, technology, digital transformation; reform administrative procedures, prevent corruption, negativity, and waste. These are issues that the entire political system, the entire people, and the entire army need to implement immediately and effectively in practice.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man believes that in the coming time, the Trade Union will have a new, stronger development step, making worthy contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, enhancing the glorious tradition of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization, actively contributing to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country, for the goal of "rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization".
