Wages and social insurance are of concern to workers
At the program "Giving health and legal advice to workers - For a healthy Vietnam" in 2026 on June 21, recorded in the legal advice area, many workers came to the consulting table to ask lawyers to support information about Social Insurance (SI), salaries, allowances, social housing...

According to Lawyer Nguyen Hoai Vu of the Vietnam Bar Federation, groups of issues related to wages, salaries, social insurance and overtime regimes are the contents that workers are particularly interested in on the morning of June 21. Many workers have proactively asked about legal regulations when they voluntarily request to work overtime and overtime separately outside the general plan of the factory to improve income.

For these cases, the team of lawyers directly based on the provisions of current labor law and internal regulations of enterprises to explain and provide specific guidance. Thanks to that, workers can clearly understand their rights as well as the limits on overtime hours in accordance with regulations, avoiding unnecessary misunderstandings. Lawyer Vu assessed that the consultation session directly approached and effectively solved the practical problems that workers are facing.
Resolving concerns about social insurance and social housing policy
Mr. Le Van Trien (employee of Saigon Stec Co., Ltd.) said that when coming to the legal advice program, he wanted to be answered about the regulations on dossiers, procedures as well as how to calculate the level of unemployment insurance and one-time social insurance benefits. Immediately after presenting his situation, Mr. Trien was answered in detail in every detail by the team of lawyers of the Vietnam Bar Federation.

Sharing about the current situation of accessing information, Mr. Trien admitted that due to the nature of busy work at the factory, workers often have little opportunity to update new legal policies, so a shortage of close knowledge is inevitable.
When consulted by a lawyer, I no longer feel unfamiliar but have grasped the basic knowledge to confidently resolve my rights later. We hope that visual legal advice models like this will continue to be replicated, even organized periodically right at businesses so that all employees can learn and raise awareness," Mr. Trien expected.
Mr. Chu Ngoc Hanh (employee of Saigon Stec Co., Ltd.) said that the festival has correctly solved his two most urgent needs today, which are legal knowledge about social housing and periodic health check-ups.
At the consulting table, Mr. Hanh was cleared by lawyers of questions surrounding the actual cost per square meter of social housing projects, as well as how to distinguish housing types for low-income people.

Mr. Hanh admitted that if he only reads information to find out on the internet, workers are very easily confused, but when he was directly dissected and analyzed by the lawyer, he firmly grasped the regulations to prepare for the settlement plan later.
Immediately after leaving the legal advice table, Mr. Hanh continued to be guided to the medical area for general internal examination, ear, nose and throat and abdominal ultrasound. Mr. Hanh shared: "We usually go to work from morning to night, so we don't have time to go to the hospital. Today, participating in a package, thoughtful and free program like this, and being informed by the doctor that the body's indicators are all normal makes me very excited and reassured.

The program "Giving health and legal advice to workers - For a healthy Vietnam" in 2026 is chaired by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, assigned to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation in coordination with the Central Vietnam Young Physicians Association and Vietnam Bar Federation to organize at Binh Duong International Exhibition Center (Ho Chi Minh City) on the morning of June 21.
In this program, in addition to 2,000 workers being examined and given free medicine by doctors and medical staff, nearly 30 lawyers of the Vietnam Bar Federation directly provided legal advice to workers related to legal situations close to life regarding salaries, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, civil, criminal, family marriage, land, inheritance, personal protection content, privacy and rules of conduct when participating in social networks.
In addition, the program also organizes lucky draws and gives gifts to workers and laborers with many practical gifts to serve life.
