On May 26, departments and agencies in Ho Chi Minh City continued to resolve the case related to Hoang Sinh Import-Export Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as Hoang Sinh Company, Binh Duong ward, Ho Chi Minh City) owing salaries to hundreds of workers.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs, Hoang Sinh Company specializes in producing and exporting wooden furniture, this enterprise has stopped operating since October 2024. However, the company still owes workers' salaries and social insurance for employees, and trade union funds. Functional agencies have issued a decision to temporarily suspend the registration procedures, change the content of business registration, separation, merger, consolidation and dissolution for this enterprise.
Representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority said that this enterprise paid salaries in violation of legal regulations to 858 people from June to September 2024 with a total amount of 24.8 billion VND; late payment of trade union funds from January 31, 2018 to September 30, 2024 with an amount of 5.6 billion VND; late payment of compulsory social insurance and unemployment insurance of nearly 25.1 billion VND.
The actions of Hoang Sinh Company were previously fined 390 million VND by the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee.

It is known that the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency has coordinated with the Binh Duong Ward People's Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to complete the finalization of social insurance books for employees. Hoang Sinh Company has paid social insurance until what time, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance will proceed to finalize books for employees until that time.
The Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency said that it will continue to monitor and urge the company to transfer and pay the remaining debt to resolve the rights of employees. In case the enterprise's bank account still has money, the specialized agency will have a document requesting the bank to automatically deduct money to pay the insurance debt.

Previously, reflecting to Lao Dong Newspaper, workers said that after 2 years of not working, Hoang Sinh Company has not yet paid off their salaries. The majority of workers are owed 3 months of salary by Hoang Sinh Company, in some cases owing 5 months of salary. After quitting Hoang Sinh Company, workers have gone to find new jobs. However, due to unstable jobs, many elderly workers are still facing difficulties. Workers hope that state agencies will support the settlement so that Hoang Sinh Company can pay the salary and pay outstanding insurance amounts.
