The incident happened at CT Vietnam Company Limited located in My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, Ben Cat city, Binh Duong province on the morning of July 19. This is an enterprise with a grassroots union affiliated with the Ben Cat Industrial Park Trade Union, a total of 500 employees, foreign investment capital, and shoelace production.
Binh Duong province's trade union said that on the morning of the same day, many workers of CT Vietnam Co., Ltd. stopped work. The reason workers stopped working was because they wanted to ask the company to announce an adjustment to increase their basic salary.
The leader of the Labor Confederation of Binh Duong province said that 100 workers in the shoe lace stamping department stopped working. Closing time is from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
After the incident, Ben Cat city authorities were present to coordinate the handling of the incident. After discussion, as a result, the company announced an increase in basic salary for all workers by 294,000 VND/person/month.
Accordingly, the basic salary from 4,914,000 to 5,208,000 VND. Thus, including allowances, the company has the lowest income of 6,800,000 VND/person/month (excluding overtime).
By 9:00 a.m. the same day, all workers who stopped working returned to work normally.
Currently, Binh Duong province's union officials are still monitoring the labor relations situation here to find ways to handle and protect the legal rights of workers.
The basic salary is difficult to meet the workers' lives

According to records, in Binh Duong, many businesses pay a basic salary higher than the regional minimum wage. The average non-overtime income of workers ranges from 5.3 to 7 million VND. However, with this salary, workers have to pay many expenses, including food, rent, electricity and water, tuition... causing workers to have to save money to make ends meet.
The union will monitor the adjustment of the regional minimum wage
Talking to reporters, the leader of the Labor Confederation of Binh Duong province said that they have directed the Communist Union to propose and supervise employers who are responsible for implementing and implementing the minimum wage in accordance with new regulations. In case the enterprise's salary scale and payroll are no longer appropriate, review, amend and supplement accordingly.
At the same time, coordinate to review agreements in labor contracts, collective labor agreements and the employer's rules and regulations to adjust and supplement them in accordance with Decree No. 74 /2024/ND-CP.
