News from Da Nang City Social Insurance on April 5th said: Ban Thach grassroots Social Insurance in coordination with the Farmers' Association of Quang Phu ward organized a conference to disseminate policies and laws on voluntary social insurance for ward farmer members.
Attending the conference were Mr. Chau Thanh Phong - Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Quang Phu ward; Ms. Duong Thi Kim Khanh - Deputy Director of Ban Thach Grassroots Social Insurance and nearly 30 delegates who are branch leaders and deputy branches of farmers in residential groups.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Chau Thanh Phong emphasized the role of the Farmers' Association in propaganda and mobilization of members to participate in voluntary social insurance.
The coordination of organizing the conference aims to raise awareness, create positive changes in voluntary social insurance participation, and contribute to completing the targets set by the Ward Farmers' Association.
At the conference, representatives of Ban Thach grassroots social insurance introduced the outstanding new points of the 2024 Social Insurance Law such as: supplementing social pension allowances, monthly allowances; expanding the subjects participating in compulsory social insurance; supplementing maternity benefits to voluntary social insurance; reducing the minimum social insurance contribution period from 20 years to 15 years to receive a pension...
The discussion session was lively with many questions related to the contribution level, age for participating in voluntary social insurance, pension regime, benefits when reaching retirement age but not having enough social insurance contribution time to receive a pension... The contents were answered specifically and clearly, helping delegates grasp fully and accurately.
Through the conference, farmer members are equipped with more knowledge, understanding more deeply about the meaning and humanistic value of voluntary social insurance policies for the stability and social security of each individual and family.
