Handover and started of construction of new houses
The Da Nang Red Cross Society recently coordinated with units and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Hoa Xuan Ward to organize the handover of a house to Ms. Phan Thi Lieu's household (born at 27, Quang Chau residential group, Hoa Xuan ward).
Ms. Phan Thi Lieu lives alone, belongs to a poor household, and is no longer able to work, her life mainly depends on monthly social allowances and support from relatives. Notably, the level 4 house where she lives is seriously degraded. In that situation, the Da Nang Red Cross Society mobilized the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - Nam Da Nang Branch to support 60 million VND for repairs.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Lam - Vice President of the Da Nang Red Cross Society - said that in 2025, using funds to mobilize individuals, charities, and social organizations, the Red Cross Society will coordinate with local authorities to build new and repair 15 charity houses for poor households, and at the same time provide livelihoods, food support, and food to help poor households and disadvantaged households overcome difficulties and rise up.
Previously, on September 9, the Women's Union of Thanh Khe Ward (Da Nang) also coordinated with units to start construction of solidarity houses for households in especially difficult circumstances.
Mr. Le Van Hao (born in 1961, group 10TT, Thanh Khe ward) was supported to build a house and make a living as a car parkner at the market. His wife recently passed away due to a serious illness, and his child is in his final year of university; the family's level 4 house has seriously degraded. After the survey, the Women's Union of Thanh Khe Ward mobilized Agribank Cho Con - Nam Da Nang branch to support 60 million VND to help Mr. Hao build a new house.

Previously, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Nguyen Thi Anh Thi signed Document 3313/UBND-SNNMT on increasing the level of electricity bill support for poor households according to city standards and social policy households in the area.
The People's Committee of Da Nang City requests that agencies, units and localities, based on the provisions of Decision No. 1279/QD-BCT of the Minister of Industry and Trade regulating electricity sales prices, implement electricity bill support for poor households according to city standards and social policy households with a support level of VND 66,000/household/month, effective from May 2025.
