On March 31, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Quang Binh Economic Zone announced that it had just organized the first round of support to 7 poor households building new houses under the province's social security program.
The program is part of a series of responses to the movement "Each grassroots trade union - at least one activity to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses". The total amount of support in this period is 65 million VND, taken from mobilization sources among union members, workers and socialized sources.
Notably, there is the active participation of grassroots trade unions (CDCS). The Trade Union of Vinh Ninh Biological Energy Joint Stock Company, although only having 59 union members, mobilized 2 million VND from union members and 3 million VND from the enterprise, promptly supporting a poor household right next to the company's headquarters with an amount of 5 million VND. This support helps the family soon complete the new house and stabilize their life.
Another model is the Trade Union of S&D Quang Binh Company Limited, which has mobilized 30 million VND from employees and allocated an additional 30 million VND from the union fund to support the construction of 6 houses in Minh Hoa and Le Thuy districts, each house with 10 million VND.
The support awarding points took place in many localities such as Vinh Ninh commune (Quang Ninh district), Minh Hoa commune, Hong Hoa commune, Xuan Hoa commune, Quy Dat town... The selected households all have especially difficult circumstances, and are implementing the reconstruction of their houses after a long time living in temporary conditions, not ensuring safety.
Speaking at the gift-giving points, Chairman of the Tu Ngoc Thinh Economic Zone Trade Union affirmed: Supporting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses is a social responsibility and also a sentiment of union members towards those in less fortunate circumstances. We will continue to widely promote the movement to spread further in the business sector".
