On December 24, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) informed about the organization of the 1st City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
The Congress will take place on December 28 and 29, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development". The theme of the Congress is "Promoting the tradition of solidarity; taking innovation and digital transformation as a driving force to improve the quality of Trade Union activities; caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers; contributing to building Can Tho for rapid and sustainable development of the region".
The key content of the Congress is to summarize the activities of the Trade Union and the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers for the 2023-2028 term (2023 - 2025); Discuss the targets, breakthroughs, directions, tasks, and key solutions; thematic resolutions and work programs for the 2025 - 2030 term.
At the same time, the congress will report on the review of the leadership and management of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, term 2023 - 2028 (term 2023 - 2025); Report on the synthesis of opinions on the contribution of draft documents to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026 - 2031 and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union (amended and supplemented); Report on the synthesis of recommendations of union members and workers to the Party, State and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The decision to appoint the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Inspection Committee and the positions in the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee of the City Labor Federation for the first term, 2025 - 2030; The decision to appoint delegates to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026-2031 will be announced at the Congress.
