On December 5, the grassroots trade union of the Can Tho City Development Investment Fund held its 1st congress for the 2025-2030 term.
During the term, the work of caring for the grassroots trade union was well implemented, helping union members and workers feel secure in their work and complete their assigned tasks well.
The grassroots trade union coordinates with the Fund's Board of Directors to visit members and employees on holidays, Tet, etc., or when the family has a holiday; make a revolving capital contribution of up to 10 million VND; organize periodic health check-ups; give birthday gifts; attend a meeting to celebrate March 8, October 20; reward children of members and employees who are excellent students; support Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Nhan, etc. for the whole life with a total amount of over 2.5 billion VND.
The unit mobilized union members and employees to voluntarily contribute to the Fund for the Poor, the Golden Heart Fund, the Action Month for Children, support union members in difficult circumstances, support people in the Central region affected by natural disasters, ... with a total amount of over 100 million VND.
Every year, 100% of women register to compete and achieve the title of "Good at public affairs, good at housework". The Fund collective was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the City People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in the emulation campaign to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Can Tho City under the Central Government. The Fund Trade Union achieves the title of "Strong Trade Union" every year.
Speaking at the congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and commended the spirit of solidarity, creativity and enthusiasm of the grassroots trade union, with valuable results, contributing to shaping the face of a civilized, modern and strongly developed Can Tho.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, with many new opportunities and responsibilities, the Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation suggested that the Executive Committee focus on 4 key tasks. Accordingly, the unit needs to continue to practically care for union members and employees; innovate union activities, making each movement associated with professional tasks and real needs of public financial intellectuals; Build a team of courageous - professional - disciplined union members; Maintain internal solidarity, create a civilized, democratic and effective working environment.
The Executive Committee of the Can Tho City Development Investment Fund Trade Union is appointed with 5 members, with Ms. Tran Bao Quyen as Chairwoman of the Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030.
