In Di An ward (HCMC), Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. has thousands of workers working. Organizing lunch meals to ensure workers' health is an activity that the company and grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) focus on implementing.

The company's grassroots trade union said that from the dialogue program, the unit has negotiated to gradually improve the value of lunch meals for employees.

Every day, the grassroots trade union supervises the process of buying food, processing and arranging lunchtime meal space for workers to ensure.

The kitchen is also organized in an open space, so that trade unions and workers can monitor the processing process to ensure safety and hygiene. The company also installed cameras to record the entire process of making lunch meals.

The grassroots trade union participates in the process of supervising the restaurant with the company. Periodically, the trade union checks input food to ensure clear origin, sufficient quantity, freshness, and quality... only then is it allowed to bring it into the kitchen to process for workers.

Every week, the canteen will send a menu list to employees to know in advance what they will eat to choose. The dishes are changed daily to avoid boredom and to feel the deliciousness" - Mr. Mai Phu Hung, Vice Chairman of the company's grassroots trade union, shared.

Today, my shift meal has braised meat, stir-fried food, soup. Today's food is guaranteed quality. The rice is sticky and hot, so it's also easy to eat" - Mr. Nguyen Van Dung (worker) shared.

Since then, Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. has invested in mid-shift rest areas for workers. The project has a sunroof. Below is a wooden table system, with seating cushions, and cool fans. When workers take mid-shift breaks, they can go to this area to drink water and rest.
