Monitoring and improving the quality of lunch meals
Synthesized data from the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, the average meal rate at enterprises is currently commonly at 220,000 - 30,000 VND/portion, averaging about 25,000 VND.
A survey of 200 businesses with lunch meals shows that about 100 businesses cook themselves, nearly 40 businesses hire catering providers, and about 60 businesses spend money to replace lunch meals.
Many large-scale businesses have increased the level of cocoa meal support above the general level. Typical examples include Luxshare ICT Nghe An Co., Ltd., Goertek, Fu Wing, TIANNENG... with common support levels from 30,000 - 50,000 VND/person/day. Some specialized units or those with high welfare policies have support levels of up to about 70,000 VND/person/day. However, there is still a significant difference between businesses.
Faced with that reality, trade union levels in Nghe An have implemented many solutions to improve the quality of lunch meals for workers. Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation - affirmed that in the coming time, the trade union organization will continue to coordinate with functional agencies and businesses to strengthen inspection and supervision, and at the same time encourage units to improve the level of support and quality of lunch meals. "Banner meals are not only a welfare regime but also a factor directly affecting the health, productivity and attachment of workers to businesses" - Mr. Tam emphasized.
