Strongly towards grassroots levels, listening to workers
According to Dr. Luong Trong Thanh - Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), nearly 80 years ago, in the work "People's Mobilization", President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: "If people's mobilization is skillful, everything will be successful". To this day, that ideology is still the guiding principle in the activities of socio-political organizations, including the Trade Union organization.
With Thanh Hoa Trade Union, the spirit of "skillful mass mobilization" does not stop at propaganda and mobilization but is expressed by strongly focusing on grassroots levels, directly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers.
In recent years, instead of focusing on formal activities, many trade union levels in the province have strengthened their presence at businesses, industrial parks, and worker dormitories to learn about life, jobs, income, and difficulties that workers are facing.
From those practical reflections, many recommendations related to salaries, policies, working conditions, and labor safety have been proposed by the trade union organization to businesses and functional agencies for consideration and resolution.
The spirit of skillful mass mobilization is clearly shown through activities to care for and protect the rights of union members and workers.
Programs such as "Tet Sum vay", "Workers' Month", "Trade Union Shelter", supporting union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, labor accidents or encountering risks in life have become a support for many worker families.
Not only caring about material things, Thanh Hoa Trade Union also promotes dialogue activities at workplaces, collective bargaining, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises. This is also a way for workers to express their opinions, aspirations and participate in solving issues directly related to their rights.
A notable highlight is the dialogue conference between provincial leaders and workers being maintained, creating a forum for workers to directly reflect difficulties and obstacles as well as propose solutions to all levels of government.
Innovating mass mobilization methods in the digital age
In the context of strong digital transformation, Thanh Hoa Trade Union also proactively innovates its approach to union members.
Digital platforms, social networks and online communication systems are used to disseminate labor laws, propagate the Party's guidelines and policies of the State, and at the same time spread good models and effective ways of working in the workers' movement and trade union activities.
Thanks to that, the gap between trade union organizations and workers is increasingly narrowed, helping propaganda work become faster, more effective and in line with the development trend of modern society.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Trinh Thi Hoa - Vice President of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation said that practice shows that where trade union officials are close to workers, the worker movement develops strongly and the trade union organization creates prestige.
In the context of an increasingly large workforce and increasingly diverse and complex labor relations, the requirements set for trade union organizations are not only to protect workers' rights but also to accompany, support and build trust" - Ms. Hoa said.
With the motto of putting union members and workers at the center, Thanh Hoa Trade Union levels are continuing to innovate the content and methods of operation in a more substantive and effective direction; thereby promoting the role of a bridge between the Party, government and workers, contributing to building a modern and strong working class and contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
