Celebrating traditional days with specific actions
Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang City said: in July 2026, a series of activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union will be implemented at 22 grassroots trade unions and professional unions in 3 areas: Nam Phuoc, Duy Nghia and Thu Bon.
The highlight is the online contest "Understanding the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and the 97-year tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union", attracting 714 entries.
Through the digital platform, union members have access to the contents of the Resolution, Trade Union Charter and Trade Union organization history conveniently, and are also granted electronic certificates after completing the exam.
The online photo and video contest "Beauty of Labor" for the second time also recorded many beautiful images of workers in production, healthcare, education, services, tourism and fishing.
During the peak month, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union awarded 50 support packages, each worth 1 million VND, to union members in difficult circumstances, who have had labor accidents, suffer from dangerous diseases, or female workers raising young children.
The student sponsorship program continues to be maintained with 13 students being supported in the 2026 school year. Among them, 10 students are supported by the grassroots Trade Union of Nam Hoi An Development Co., Ltd. with 12 million VND each year.
At enterprises, grassroots trade unions coordinate with employers to improve the quality of lunch meals, supplement drinking water and nutritious foods in hot weather.
Many activities to connect union members are also organized such as "Trade Union Meals" at Duy Xuyen Regional Medical Center or Team Building program, "Love Moments" photo contest of Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital, creating a space for exchange between union members and families.
Promoting expertise to serve the community
A highlight of the series of activities is that grassroots trade unions promote their professional strengths to both care for workers and serve the community.
The Trade Union of Phan Ngoc Anh Construction Materials Co., Ltd. coordinates to organize fire prevention and fighting and rescue training, contributing to building a safe culture in the workplace.
Tien Thu Co., Ltd. Branch provides 200 free oil change sessions, vehicle maintenance instructions and safe driving skills training for people.
The My Son World Cultural Heritage Management Board actively participates in preserving and promoting heritage, and at the same time prepares to implement the model "My Son Relic without cigarette smoke - Civilized tourist destination, no tobacco".
In the field of health, Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital organizes free consultation on musculoskeletal diseases, promoting the expertise of doctors and medical staff in people's health care.
Associated with the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, the Commune Trade Union coordinated to organize health check-ups and consultations at home for 40 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Nam Phuoc and Thu Bon areas; connecting 120 free specialized examinations for wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, veterans and policy families.
In particular, four programs "Trade Union Meals - Warm Gratitude" are organized at the homes of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, creating a space for trade union officials, union members, businesses and people to express their gratitude to those who have made many sacrifices and contributions to the country.
The greatest value of the chain of activities lies not only in the number of programs or support funds but in the combination of traditional education with substantive care; between the tasks of the Trade Union organization and the expertise and social responsibility of each agency, unit, and business" - Ms. Lam Thi Vy said.
