Sturdy goods, confident delivery
For more than 3 years, a centralized delivery point has been maintained regularly in front of the gate of Hoa Phu Industrial Park (IP), Vinh Long province, where hundreds of workers come to receive goods every day after work.
Mr. Pham Thanh Tung, who has nearly 5 years of experience in delivering goods around the industrial park, said that before, each shipper delivered in a different way.
Some people arrived too early, workers had to wait before they had finished their shift; sometimes it was late, workers had returned, leading to the order being canceled, causing unemployment for the shipper and inconvenience to the recipient.
After that, the brothers discussed and agreed to a place, and at the end of the afternoon, someone received it, stopped calling, stopped looking. This intersection significantly saves time and operating costs.
According to Mr. Tung, not just seeing a petition is driving towards the company gate, sometimes it can obstruct large vehicles from entering and leaving. Now with my own place, everything is convenient.
"Putting up your belongings so that there is a roof, someone to look after it, not afraid of rain, wind or loss. Both neat and safe, Mr. Tung added.
Also a long-time shipper here, Mr. Nguyen Van Khai added: "At first, the brothers distributed it themselves, and seeing it too inconvenient, the brothers sat down and contributed money to rent a small place with a roof right at this gate. Every month, contribute a little bit of the top and it becomes much more convenient, everyone is happy to cooperate".
Safety for goods and traffic
From the workers' side, this centralized delivery model is also enthusiastically responded to by workers, especially those who regularly shop online but are limited in time and travel conditions.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung, a garment worker, said that before, she was very afraid to place orders because she could not come out during breaks to receive them, and she could not leave the workshop during work. Once the shipper delivered it and lost it, it took me a whole search.
"Now, just work overtime to get it right away. Buying food, clothes, cosmetics... is convenient. The goods are covered, arranged neatly, and there is no need to worry about damage in the rain and wind, it feels very secure, Ms. Phung added.
According to Mr. Tran Van Duy, a mechanical worker - this model also helps reduce traffic congestion and ensure traffic safety in front of the company gate.
Before that, the shipper was in a mess, and the company's vehicles were in no difficulty. Now workers only need to go out to receive goods quickly, without affecting anyone. Moreover, the shipper is used to the time and keeps the goods carefully, so we are very satisfied.
The centralized delivery point at Hoa Phu Industrial Park gate is a simple but surprisingly effective solution: reducing shipper pressure, facilitating workers, protecting goods and ensuring safety and order in the area.
"This is a model that many workers want to replicate, promising to bring positive changes to the lives of workers in the era of online shopping," Mr. Duy added.
