On July 22, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thu - Chairwoman of Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union (Quang Ngai) - said that in the first 6 months of 2026, the Standing Committee of Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union conducted surveys and mobilized the establishment of 5 new grassroots trade unions, reaching 250% of the year's target. Currently, Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union is managing 40 grassroots trade unions with 1,699 union members/1,740 workers, civil servants, and laborers.
According to Ms. Thu, this result was achieved thanks to proactively building plans, assigning in-charge officials, strengthening surveys and grasping the situation of businesses and workers. In particular, propaganda and mobilization work was promoted during peak periods to celebrate major holidays and important political events of the country and the Trade Union organization.

Currently, the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union is focusing on mobilizing the establishment of trade unions at enterprises that have paid trade union fees but do not yet have trade union organizations. In the immediate future, the unit prioritizes enterprises with 15 or more employees, striving not to let the "gap" of trade union organizations occur at enterprises.
Thanks to receiving the consensus of workers and the support and favorable conditions from the company's board of directors, the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union has approached workers, grasped their thoughts and aspirations; propagated about the Vietnam Trade Union organization, and at the same time mobilized workers to voluntarily write applications to join the Vietnam Trade Union.
Many new businesses that have just started operating have soon established grassroots trade unions. Typically, Uoc Mo Xanh Early Intervention - Education Center Co., Ltd., although it has only been operating since the beginning of 2026, has established a grassroots trade union by June 2026.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thu said that after the announcement ceremony of the decisions to establish grassroots trade unions, Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union will support newly established grassroots trade unions to organize dialogues, negotiations, build collective labor agreements; launch emulation movements for good labor, creative labor among union members and workers and deploy activities to care for union members. Thereby, continuing to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in enterprises.
