On the morning of April 25, Dien Bien Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding High School coordinated with the Fire and Rescue Police Department, Dien Bien Provincial Police to organize propaganda and practical experience on fire prevention and fighting for more than 1,000 students, officials, teachers and school employees.
The activity aims to raise awareness, equip knowledge and safety skills in fire prevention and fighting and rescue, helping officials, teachers and students proactively prevent and handle fire and explosion situations and accidents that may occur in reality.

Under the direct guidance of officers of the Fire and Rescue Police Department, students and teachers were disseminated legal regulations on fire prevention and fighting, and guided on how to recognize early fire and explosion risks in schools, dormitories and families.
In particular, directly experience and practice moving skills, finding safe escape routes in a simulated environment with smoke and toxic gases. Manually operate using powder kegs and CO2 gas kegs to control and extinguish fires.

Dinh The Nam (10th grade student) said: "Through the practice session, I learned how to pull out the latch and direct the spray nozzle to the right fire source. Although initially approaching the fire was actually a bit scary, but being instructed, I felt more confident if I unfortunately encountered an incident.
For schools with centralized accommodation such as ethnic minority boarding schools, ensuring fire prevention and fighting and rescue safety is always a top priority task, requiring proactiveness from both schools and students.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vu Trung Hoan - Principal of the Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding High School said: "Through experiential activities, boarding students not only have access to theoretical knowledge but more importantly, they can directly practice fire prevention, fighting and rescue skills in an environment closest to reality.
According to Mr. Hoan, through practice, the children have formed calmness, proactive handling of situations, knowing how to use fire fighting equipment, escape skills and first aid.

According to the Principal, this is one of the life skills education activities organized regularly by the school.
The program is designed to closely follow the characteristics of collective activities of boarding students, in order to equip them with solid safety baggage, raise awareness of responsibility to protect themselves and the community, contributing to building a safe and healthy school environment.
