Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) - said that the working session aimed to grasp the living and working situation of workers; the company and trade union's care for union members and workers; the Tet preparation plan; and listen to the difficulties and problems after implementing the 2-level government model, no longer operating district-level trade unions.
Mr. Cu Phat Nghiep - Chairman of the Trade Union of PouYuen Vietnam Company - informed that the company currently has about 40,600 workers, an increase compared to 37,000 workers at the time of last year thanks to abundant orders. Stable production, harmonious labor relations, labor discipline and welfare regimes are improved; the board of directors and trade unions always closely coordinate in caring for workers.
Regarding the Lunar New Year 2026, the company will give workers a day off from February 14 to February 22, 2026. Salary and bonus will be paid in full before the holiday; workers will also receive Tet gifts of necessities. On holidays and birthdays, the company gives gifts to workers.
The company's trade union also regularly organizes cultural, artistic and sports programs to improve the spiritual life of workers.
The company representative expressed his desire to have more affordable accommodation for workers, and at the same time suggested that the trade union organization encourage the landlord not to increase the rental price, collect electricity and water fees in accordance with regulations to reduce pressure on living expenses.
After listening to the report and recommendations, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu highly appreciated the company's proactiveness and creativity in grasping and promptly meeting the needs of workers.
"In the coming time, the company needs to continue to pay close attention to workers' lives, associated with ensuring production activities; promote propaganda and mobilization to raise awareness and sense of disciplinary compliance of workers; at the same time, ensure rights, build appropriate and sustainable welfare regimes", said Vice President of the General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu.
