On the afternoon of August 11, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor chaired and coordinated with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), assigning Lao Dong Newspaper to organize a press conference for the Outstanding Enterprise Award for Workers in 2025.

Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Hoang Quang Phong - Vice President of VCCI; Ms. Phan Thu Thuy - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper - chaired the press conference.
Speaking at the press conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong emphasized that the 2025 Outstanding Enterprise for Workers Award is a particularly important event of profound social significance, organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, to recognize and honor enterprises that have made many contributions to caring for workers' lives and building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
This award is not only a recognition, honor and gratitude from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to enterprises with good welfare policies for employees, but also an affirmation of the enterprise's commitment to the sustainable development of the community and society.
In particular, in 2025, when the country is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the program will contribute to highlighting the human values of the Trade Union organization in promoting businesses to fulfill their obligations to employees, society and the State, contributing to achieving growth results of 8% or more in 2025.
According to Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, in the current context, when we are streamlining the state apparatus and implementing two-level government at the local level, this is a condition for local government to be closer to the people and closer to businesses.
"The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor always identifies its important role in being a bridge between the Party, the government and workers and the government and the Party Committee, in addition to protecting the rights and taking care of the lives of workers, but always accompanying, for the development of the business community" - Ms. Thai Thu Xuong said.
The Permanent Vice Chairman emphasized that building a fair, stable and sustainable working environment is the task not only of businesses and workers but also an important task of the Trade Union organization.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong pledged that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will continue to accompany businesses, especially in implementing policies, better caring for workers, improving welfare, and protecting the legitimate rights of workers, not only within the scope of legal regulations but also in the spirit of sustainable development and social responsibility to build harmonious and stable labor relations.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will also actively participate in developing and implementing policies to promote harmonious development between the interests of enterprises and workers. In particular, we will continue to focus on improving the quality and efficiency of trade union organizations at enterprises, building a fair, safe and developing working environment, together with enterprises that not only develop the economy but also enhance social value.
In addition, according to Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, with the "Outstanding Enterprise for Workers" Award, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor wants to especially recognize the attention, participation and close coordination of businesses in caring for workers. Enterprises have focused on improving welfare, protecting the legitimate rights of workers, while creating a green, clean, beautiful working environment and sustainable development.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong affirmed that the selection and honoring of typical enterprises in 2025 is the result of a serious assessment process, from reviewing documents to conducting field surveys, ensuring that the enterprises honored are truly worthy of the criteria of responsibility towards employees, the State and society.
"We hope that, through this award, businesses will continue to replicate models of caring for workers' lives, maintaining a safe working environment and stable development. At the same time, the award is also a motivation for other businesses to learn and apply better policies to improve the welfare of workers and actively contribute to the development of the country" - Ms. Thai Thu Xuong said.
