On August 4, the Labor Federation of Duc Linh District, Binh Thuan organized the final round of the first Singing Contest for union members, civil servants, and workers of Duc Linh District in 2024.
15 outstanding contestants in the final round were selected from more than 100 contestants in the preliminary round. In the final round, each contestant sang 2 songs continuously, including 1 mandatory song about Uncle Ho or praising the Communist Party of Vietnam and 1 song of their choice.
In his opening speech at the final round, Mr. Huynh Thien Linh - Chairman of the Labor Federation of Duc Linh District said that the contest aims to maintain and develop the cultural and artistic movement in the district, creating a practical playground for union members, workers, and civil servants after working hours.
The judges of the contest are experts in the field of music. Performing the songs in the final round, the contestants invested in costumes suitable for the songs performed. Additionally, some performances included elaborate dance accompaniments.
In the final results, the first prize went to union member Tran Xuan Trang – CĐCS of the Duc Linh District Party Committee Office, and 2 second prizes, 4 third prizes, and 8 consolation prizes were awarded to the contestants.
Additionally, there were special prizes for the best song about Uncle Ho; the best song about the Communist Party of Vietnam; the oldest contestant, and the CĐCS with the most contestants participating.
