On January 24, An Giang Provincial Labor Federation together with the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Trade Union of Hwaseung Rach Gia Co., Ltd. (Thanh Loc Industrial Park) organized the Voluntary Blood Donation Day program for Tet and the 2026 Red Spring Festival.
Ms. Ton Nu My Hanh - Chairwoman of the company's grassroots trade union said: This is the 2nd time this blood donation activity has been organized at the company and through calls and mobilization, it has received very enthusiastic response from union members and company workers.
In this phase, about 150 union members and workers participated, and the results collected 135 units of blood.
Although labor production is quite busy during Tet, everyone's response is very good, with compassion and a sense of responsibility to the community. Many individuals have participated in blood donation many times and are also active propagandists for colleagues to participate together," Ms. Hanh shared.
Ms. Le Thi Be, a union member of the company's grassroots trade union, said: "I have participated in blood donation for the past 11 years 20 times. I find this action meaningful, helping many people, so I have participated until now. I looked through newspapers and radio and saw that there is still a lot of blood shortage, so I contributed a little effort, sharing with patients who need blood, and I am also very happy.
According to the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation, 2 blood donation drives organized by the Provincial Labor Federation previously received 485 units of blood. Thereby affirming the role of the Trade Union organization in mobilizing union members and workers to join hands for the community.
The activity contributes to promoting the spirit of mutual affection and social responsibility of the working class, spreading the beautiful image of the An Giang Trade Union organization during the traditional Tet holiday.
