On September 11, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with Can Tho Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital to organize voluntary blood donation at An Giang Samho Co., Ltd. The program received 136 units of blood from union members and workers.
A large number of union members and employees of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd. were present at the company's training center to register for blood donation. After being checked for health and consulted, those who were eligible took turns participating in blood donation.
This is the 2nd phase of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd. responding to the voluntary blood donation program. Previously, the grassroots trade union had propagated and mobilized union members and workers to participate through the company's information channels, creating conditions for workers to actively register.
According to the grassroots Trade Union of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd., this year's program is implemented with the goal of mobilizing at least 10% of union members and workers to participate, striving to receive about 200 units of blood.
Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd. Vo Thanh Nha said that with each organization, union members and workers are increasingly actively responding to this activity.
Blood donation is a practical activity. Each person contributes a small part but can help patients who need blood. We hope this activity will continue to be maintained so that the spirit of sharing spreads among union members and workers," Mr. Vo Thanh Nha shared.
In addition to gifts according to the program, the grassroots Trade Union of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd. supports an additional voucher worth 100,000 VND for each unit of blood successfully received, to encourage union members and workers to participate.
With 136 units of blood received, the program contributes to supplementing blood sources for emergency care and treatment of patients, while spreading the spirit of sharing and responsibility to the community among union members and workers.
