The grassroots trade union (CĐCS) of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd. said that the CĐCS has mobilized union members and workers (NLĐ) to join hands to help those in difficult circumstances, thereby becoming a regular and practical work.
Recently (August 22), the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union and the Board of Directors of the Company directly visited, encouraged and presented financial support to 3 cases of union members, workers or relatives of union members facing difficulties. The total amount of money mobilized is nearly 85 million VND.
Ms. N.T. K. N, residing in Vinh An commune, suffers from cervical cancer and has to be treated regularly at high costs. Her father had a traffic accident, lost his ability to work, had difficulty walking; her mother has no income, and the family has 2 children going to school. After a long time of both treating herself and taking care of medicine for her father, Ms. N's family's economy has been exhausted and she no longer has the ability to continue treatment.
Mr. Bui Van Qui, residing in Binh Hoa commune, has a father with cerebral infarction, heart disease and kidney disease, weak health, cannot walk on his own and must be treated regularly. Mr. Qui's mother had to quit selling lottery tickets to take care of her husband. All living expenses and medicine for the family mainly depend on his monthly salary.

The third case is Ms. T.T. T, residing in Can Dang commune, suffering from stage III cervical cancer, having to be treated with chemotherapy, her health deteriorated and she temporarily quit her job for treatment. Her family faced many difficulties and no longer had enough funds to continue treatment.
Mr. Vo Thanh Nha - Chairman of the grassroots trade union of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd., said: this is not a temporary activity but has been maintained by the grassroots trade union for many years. When union members or relatives of union members encounter serious illnesses, accidents or major incidents, the Trade Union proactively investigates the circumstances, informs the collective and mobilizes union members to share.
“We do not emphasize how much each person must contribute. Some people contribute a lot, some contribute less, but the important thing is that everyone wants to share with colleagues. When one person encounters difficulties, the whole collective joins hands, the source of support will be more practical,” Mr. Nha shared.
For workers, prolonged illness not only affects health but also reduces income, while treatment costs are increasing. Therefore, timely support from colleagues is very meaningful.
Mr. Nha added that the Trade Union not only mobilizes resources but also directly visits each family to visit, encourage and provide support. This activity is also a specific way to respond to the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" emulation movement. Mass mobilization at the grassroots level, first of all, must be close to workers, understand their circumstances and create trust for union members to voluntarily participate.
To mobilize union members, trade union officials must create trust. When union members see their contributions reaching the right people, the right circumstances, they will continue to accompany them. From a difficult situation, the Trade Union connects many people to share; from small contributions, it creates a great resource," Mr. Nha emphasized.
Through many years of maintenance, the activity has created a spread among union members and employees of An Giang Samho Co., Ltd. Employees are not only the beneficiaries of care but also directly participate in creating resources to care for colleagues.
The Trade Union has promoted the spirit of sharing, thereby arousing and spreading the spirit of solidarity, mutual affection, and building a humane working environment.
