The program presented 7,400 gifts, supporting 32 "Union Shelters" to union members with difficult housing circumstances, with an amount of 6.1 billion VND.
Coordinate with 20 units and enterprises to organize 20 booths selling quality products and goods at preferential prices from 5% to 49%, with a total value of goods of about 1.5 billion VND, saving union members and employees over 300 million VND. Coordinate with the departments of the General Confederation of Labor to guide and support 2,500 union members and employees to buy gifts on the online software "Union Tet Market", with a total value of 1.25 billion VND.
The direct superior trade union at the grassroots level organized 13 "Tet Sum Vay" programs, attracting over 4,800 union members and employees to participate, with 4,187 union members and employees given gifts at the Program, with a total amount of over 2.1 billion VND. The Trade Union participated in over 16 delegations, accompanying leaders of the Party, State, authorities at all levels, the National Assembly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the General Confederation, the Provincial Party Committee to visit, wish a happy New Year and give gifts to over 260 union members and employees, with an amount of over 260 million VND.
Nearly 10,260 union members and employees will benefit from Tet care activities of Trade Unions at all levels in coordination with authorities, localities, and enterprises with an amount of over 5.1 billion VND.
Over 12,800 union members and employees were visited and given gifts by the direct superior union, with an amount of over 6.8 billion VND; the grassroots unions under the district union coordinated with the Head, agency, unit, and employer to visit and give 75,360 gifts, with an amount of over 49 billion VND (of which, over 18 billion VND was from the budget of the unit and enterprise; over 30 billion VND was from the Union's budget).
Pay attention to negotiating and signing collective labor agreements in enterprises, focusing on practical commitments that are beneficial to employees such as: reducing working hours for heavy and toxic work; increasing the frequency and quality of meals between shifts to ensure nutrition and housing support.
Continue to mobilize union members to contribute to the "Union Society" fund. 50 new houses have been repaired and 10 "Union Shelters" have been repaired for union members with housing difficulties, with a total amount of 2 billion 750 million VND. Contributing un interest-free revolving capital, signing bank loans, charity kitchen activities are of interest to the Party Committee, government, and trade unions, maintained with more than 44,000 union members borrowing and participating in interest-free revolving capital with an amount of over 20.6 billion VND...
Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Truong Thanh Thuy said that the activities are carefully organized, close to the reality of each place. Not only must we take good care of the right people, the right jobs, and the reality to promote efficiency, help union members and employees enjoy welfare programs, and ensure their rights.
From the results of activities in the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor also considered the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome to strive to successfully complete the tasks in the last 6 months of the year.
In the immediate future, complete the Project on personnel of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (new) to submit to the General Confederation for approval; assign the task of full-time provincial trade union officials according to the Project of the Provincial Party Committee; rearrange emulation clusters under the Provincial Federation of Labor; assign staff to monitor and guide activities in accordance with the new situation.
Coordinate with press agencies to strengthen communication on Trade Union activities; regularly grasp information, listen to feedback from the grassroots, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and employees, promptly propose and coordinate with competent authorities to handle issues arising in practice.
Directing grassroots trade unions to improve the quantity and quality of collective labor agreements, striving for amended, supplemented, and newly signed collective labor agreements with many higher benefits than those prescribed by law. Implement the arrangement and handling of headquarters and real estate facilities when implementing the arrangement of administrative units at all levels according to the policy of the General Confederation; organize the collection of trade union finances well; strictly manage spending and savings, focus resources, and effectively serve trade union activities," said Ms. Thuy.
