According to information from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue of Yen Bai province, from June 24 to the morning of June 25, in the districts of Yen Binh, Van Yen, Luc Yen, Tran Yen, Van Chan, Yen Bai city, there was moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places.
It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, the districts will continue to have rain. Accumulated rainfall in the districts: Luc Yen (10-20mm); Yen Binh (20-30mm); Van Yen (10-60mm); Van Chan (10 80mm); Yen Bai City (40-140mm); Tran Yen (10-140mm). The soil moisture in some localities in the province is nearly saturated (over 80%) or has reached a saturated state.



Prolonged heavy rain caused landslides in some localities such as Yen Binh, Luc Yen, Van Yen districts. Of which, it is mainly concentrated on some main roads such as National Highway 70.
Heavy rain also caused localized flooding on some streets in Yen Bai city. Risk of flash floods and flash floods on some large streams in Luc Yen and Van Yen districts, Yen Bai city.
According to the reporter's records on the morning of June 25, on Le Van Tam, Dien Bien, Quang Trung, Kim Dong streets, heavy rain caused water to rise rapidly, causing flooding on the road surface, many locations were flooded about 0.5m deep.





Notably, some roads such as Kim Dong and Quang Trung streets are under construction, many manholes have not been covered, posing a potential risk of accidents for traffic participants, especially in rainy conditions and limited visibility.
Not only in the above area, many other roads in Yen Bai city such as Dinh Tien Hoang street, Khe Sen street and some branch routes also recorded local flooding.



Although the water level is not too deep, it is enough to obstruct traffic. Heavy rain occurred right at the time when people started the working day, significantly affecting their daily activities and work in the morning.
