In the first 6 months of 2025, the socio-economic situation of Long An province continued to maintain positive growth momentum, creating favorable conditions for production and business activities, improving the lives of workers. GRDP per capita in 2025 is expected to reach 115120 million VND/year. The material and spiritual life of workers continues to improve.
In general, the mood of the majority of union members and workers is stable; they trust in the leadership of the Party, government and trade union organizations in protecting their rights and improving working conditions.
To achieve the target of developing 25,000 union members in 2025, since the beginning of the year, the Industrial Parks Trade Union has conducted a survey to grasp information and classify operating enterprises that have not yet established unions in industrial parks. Propose that the Provincial Economic Zones Management Board issue documents to mobilize business owners to coordinate and create conditions for the Industrial Park Trade Union to propagate and mobilize the establishment of a Trade Union organization.
On that basis, a specific mobilization document and working schedule was sent. Launching 2 short-term emulation campaigns on developing union members to deploy to affiliated trade unions to continue to propagate and mobilize unskilled workers to join the Trade Union.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Industrial Parks Trade Union organized 4 specialized training courses on the Law on Social Insurance 2024, the Law on Trade Unions 2024, dialogue at the workplace, collective bargaining, collective labor agreements, and trade union skills in enterprises with a total of 1,318 trade union officials attending.
In addition, it also sent grassroots trade union officials and trade union officials of industrial parks to participate in in-depth professional training courses organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Federation of Labor to improve the level of operational skills for grassroots trade union officials to meet the tasks in the new situation.
At the conference, the Organizing Committee awarded many Certificates of Merit and Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Long An Provincial Confederation of Labor and the Long An Industrial Parks Trade Union to outstanding collectives and individuals with many achievements in Trade Union activities in 2024.
