Over the years, Ms. Le Thi Huong has been known as a typical example in the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" of Chung Jye Shoe Company (Ham Yen District, Tuyen Quang) and has been valued and trusted by the unit.
With hard work and creativity and many years of work, Ms. Huong makes about 150 - 200 products per day, double the number of other workers in the workshop.
"With many years of experience in sewing shoe soles, I always have ways to increase productivity such as sewing techniques, ways to put products into the machine in a reasonable way to save time.
Thanks to that, the Union and the Company have many rewards, encouragement and motivation. This is the motivation for me to continue to make more efforts in my work, to stay with the enterprise and the trade union organization for a long time, Ms. Huong shared.
For enterprises that employ many workers and have grassroots unions, the rights and lives of workers are given special attention and guaranteed. Thereby promoting the role of the trade union organization, creating trust for employees.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung, a union member of J-STar Vina Company, a garment unit in Yen Son district, said that she had previously had concerns when working with foreign owners because she was afraid that her rights were not guaranteed, but having grassroots union officials made her feel more secure.
When I became a union member, I was guaranteed rights and was able to contribute opinions related to my job, income, and guaranteed benefits. The union cadres are close-minded and often express the thoughts and aspirations of the workers, so I no longer worry about anything," Ms. Nhung confided.
In addition, the "Union Shelter" program in recent years has helped many workers have a peaceful life, without worrying during storms. This humane program has been actively implemented by the Tuyen Quang Provincial Trade Union.
In 2024 alone, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Federation of Labor supported the construction and repair of 41 houses for union members in difficult circumstances, with a total cost of nearly 1.6 billion VND.
At the same time, implementing the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Tuyen Quang province, trade unions at all levels have called for and mobilized agencies, units, and enterprises in the spirit of voluntariness and contributing to support the program.
Speaking with reporters, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - President of the Provincial Federation of Labor said that in order to innovate the performance of the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, the Provincial Federation of Labor has focused on organizing grassroots activities.
"Union levels have increased contact with union members and employees at the workplace to grasp their aspirations, life, and income. At the same time, actively mobilize, negotiate, and negotiate with businesses and employers to ensure social welfare regimes for employees," said Ms. Thuy.
Not only ensuring the material and spiritual life of employees is also improved when the trade union coordinates with businesses to organize cultural, sports and social activities in agencies, units and enterprises to create cohesion.
During the Workers' Month 2025, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Federation of Labor organized a ceremony to honor 50 workers who are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam, presented 200 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances and presented funds to support the repair and construction of a new "Union Shelter" to union members.
