Ms. Paetongtarn received a warm welcome from the Ministry's leaders, along with Minister of Transport Suriya Jungringreangkit and Minister of Education of Sudawan University Wangsuphakijkosol.
In her speech, Ms. Paetongtarn shared that although she will temporarily leave the position of Prime Minister, she is still "very happy" to have the opportunity to serve for the first time as Minister of Culture and expressed hope for a cooperative relationship with all parties.
She emphasized her vision of turning the Ministry of Culture into a key national force, similar to South Korea, where the Ministry of Culture plays a key role in national construction.
Ms. Paetongtarn also recalled her discussions with the Korean Ambassador when she was the leader of the Pheu Thai Party, emphasizing her belief that the Ministry of Culture should be an important factor in creating new income for people through soft power policies - a promise she had given before.
"I want the Ministry of Culture to become a driving force to create new opportunities and professions for the Thai people," Ms. Paetongtarn concluded.
