Nearly 400 businesses report on salary and bonus situation for Tet
According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Nai province, currently, nearly 400 enterprises in the province have reported their salary and Tet bonus situation to the department, including ensuring a bonus of one month's salary to encourage morale as well as recognize the working efforts of employees.
For example, TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City has nearly 36,000 employees with the highest Lunar New Year bonus of 1.5 months' salary in 2025; Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thanh Phu Commune, Vinh Cuu District) has the highest Tet bonus of 2 months' salary; Phong Thai Group has about 65,000 employees and is expected to give employees a Tet bonus of 1 month's salary...
Speaking to Lao Dong reporters, a representative of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Nai province said that they are continuing to compile data on businesses announcing salaries and Tet bonuses; monitoring the payment of Tet bonuses as well as policies and regimes to ensure the rights of workers.
Trade unions step up care for workers during Tet
In addition to Tet bonuses, grassroots trade unions at enterprises also promote activities to care for workers.
Recently, Vedan Vietnam Limited Company (Long Thanh District) organized a ceremony to award commemorative medals to 300 workers with 20-30 years of seniority. This is an activity that the company carries out at the end of the year to recognize the contributions of workers.
According to Mr. Dinh Sy Phuc - Chairman of the Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company, regarding the salary increase in 2025, although the Government has not yet issued a decree on adjusting the minimum wage, to share the difficulties with employees, the company will increase the salary in advance by 100,000 VND/person. In addition, the New Year bonus is 200,000 VND/person (an increase of 100,000 VND compared to the 2024 Lunar New Year).
The TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company's Trade Union also supported 7,000 gifts for workers in difficult circumstances. On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025, the Trade Union continued to coordinate with the Company's Board of Directors to organize activities to care for workers during Tet, including giving nearly 36,000 gifts to union members and workers, and supporting bus tickets for workers to return home for Tet.
The grassroots union of Pousung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Trang Bom district) has just organized the giving of 18,000 Tet gifts to union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Each worker received a gift worth 300,000 VND, the total value of the gifts is 5.4 billion VND.
The grassroots union of Pousung Vietnam Co., Ltd. has registered workers for a bus trip home to celebrate Tet, sending a list of 350 workers to the Trang Bom District Labor Federation to request support.
All union members and workers have Tet
With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation said that on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the whole province plans to spend about 450 billion VND to take care of more than 700,000 union members and workers. Of which, unions at all levels contribute 380 billion VND, the province supports 30 billion VND for 30,000 workers in difficult circumstances and socialized enterprises add 40 billion VND. Activities include giving gifts, bus and train tickets to workers in difficult circumstances, organizing meetings for workers far from home, visiting people staying in Dong Nai to celebrate Tet, along with cultural programs, the Union Tet Market with nearly 100 preferential booths.
