Attending the program were Mr. To Xuan Thao - Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Dao Van Vu - Standing Vice Chairman of Van Don Special Zone People's Committee; representatives of Viettel Van Don Branch and a large number of trade union members.
At the meeting, Mr. To Xuan Thao - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation - acknowledged and praised the efforts to overcome difficulties and stick to the sea for production of Van Don fishermen in the past time, contributing to the development of the marine economy associated with protecting national sovereignty.
The Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation sent wishes to union members and fishermen to welcome a peaceful and happy traditional Tet, and a new year of peace and prosperity.
In recent years, despite facing many difficulties due to complicated weather diễn biến, high fuel costs, and fluctuating consumption markets at times, Van Don Fisheries Trade Union members have still maintained exploitation, united to support each other to reach out to sea, gradually improving production efficiency.
Trade unions become a fulcrum, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of fishermen, and at the same time promoting the role of linking and supporting each other in labor at sea.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Dao Van Vu emphasized that the locality always identifies the marine economy as one of the important pillars in socio-economic development. The fishermen's team and the Fisheries Union not only contribute directly to economic growth but are also an important force participating in protecting sovereignty and maintaining security and order at sea.
In the coming time, Van Don special zone will continue to coordinate with departments, branches, and trade union organizations to promote propaganda and dissemination of policies and laws on seafood exploitation; support fishermen to access preferential capital sources, apply science and technology, invest in upgrading vehicles and fishing gear in a modern, safe, and environmentally friendly direction; and at the same time focus on ensuring labor safety at sea, gradually building a sustainable exploitation - purchasing - processing linkage chain.
On this occasion, the Program Organizing Committee presented 50 Tet gifts to Van Don Fisheries Union members with offshore fishing vessels, each gift worth 1 million VND. Viettel Van Don Branch presented 200 national flags to union members.
The gifts show the concern of the Trade Union organization and local authorities for the labor force directly at sea, contributing to encouraging fishermen to feel secure in sticking to the sea and celebrating the traditional Tet in a warm and meaningful atmosphere.
